Dirty Kanza 200 Registration Set To Open

The Dirty Kanza 200, one of the premier gravel grinder events in the World, is set to have its registration open tonight at midnight CST. This version of the DK 200 will allow a roster increase to 150 riders, up from the previous 100 rider limit. However, don't get caught waiting as co-director Jim Cummings warns that he expects the roster to fill up fast.

Registration for the 100 available spots for the 2009 edition sold out within 4 days and expectations are that this version will equal that, or perhaps sell out faster. The directors of DK 200 have made some tweaks to the event which they expect will draw even more attention from the gravel grinders across the U.S.A. and beyond. This year the start line will move to downtown Emporia and you can expect a little more of a show in regards to the send off. Plans are also being made for activities for support people and more is in the works. Expectations are that the DK 200 will be the biggest and best yet.

Registration will be held online and will start at 12.01am Sunday January 10th and will continue until all roster spots are taken, which is expected to be rather quickly. See this link for more.
