George Wissell of Bike29 has a Gravel Grinder Spring Classic every year now. This year's event is scheduled for April 18th in Vermont. Registration for this event is open now with 150 spots up for grabs.
The course is rated as pretty tough, and can be downright sketchy if the weather gets nasty to the point that mountain bikes may be the best tool for this job. The Gravel Grinder Spring Classic is a fun ride, and not a competitive event, but it is very challenging, so be prepared!
