Once I saw the route for the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail, a series of mostly dirt roads, two track, and ATV trails from south to north, I knew it would not be long until someone had thoughts of a Trans Wisconsin event. Sure eneough, T.I.V5 winner and Tour Divide vet, Joe Meiser has announced Trans Wisconsin. The event, based on the ethos and rules of Tour Divide, The Great Divide race, and others like it, will be run on the route set up for the Wisconsin Adventure Trail which starts on the Illinois/Wisconsin border and runs 550 miles to the tip of the Bayfield peninsula.
Riders can attempt an "individual time trial", or "speed tour" the route. The event is set to kick off on June 18th. More details will be announced soon. See the site here.

Wow... The Chequamegon 100, now this... Meiser's on a ROLL! Nice... He's doing a good job of creating events that are capturing my imagination, just as he's been doing at designing bikes that have been making me want to ride more... I wonder if those two things are related?
@MG: I'm thinking the two are definitely related!
has my attention...
@NICE, but will you show? You could use a little up north time...
