Seems that the trend of late is to have a short film made about gravel grinders. Trans Iowa has one out, but it is only in private distribution as of now and not public. (Here is the trailer for it though) The Dirty Kanza also has had several amateur films made about it. The Gravel Metric has made a few great promotional shorts for their event as well.
However; now folks are actually making produced, finely crafted films in the public domain concerning gravel grinding. Here are a couple we're aware of right now.
The first isn't out yet, but soon should be. it is going to be based on the recent running of the Heck Of The North. Here's a sneak peek:
The other one that has been making the rounds is about the Almanzo 100. This one was produced by Royal Antler Films:
If you know of anymore, pass them along and we'll make folks aware of them here.

anybody see this as a deeply disturbing trend?
@rideonpurpose: I'll give ya my two cents on this: We are a generation of "documenters", and technology has given folks tools to easily create and disseminate products of their imagination to an ever growing audience that is looking for the next meme, trending video, and giggle they can share on facebook.
It is what it is- I don't see how it would go any other way than how it has.
One can either be repulsed by this, or throw away the chaff and look for the quality entertainment. But either way, it isn't going away, whatever genre' of social activity/art/creative you want to name.
Me? I try not to take any of this too seriously.
In Canada the only gravel-grinder I have thus far been able to even find is this

It's called the Paris-to-Ancaster. It's only 60km, and I'm not sure precisely what the requirements for a GG are, but this seems close to me.
Next year I will be heading your way (south to the USA) to join in one or two of your epics because we just don't have them in Canada.
BTW I understand your hesitation to embrace the filming of said GG's, but me, I don't mind. It's what introduced me to them - so how can that be bad?
