The event is shaped as a way for folks to not only experience the rural goodness of Oklahoma, but as a way to test your mettle before the Dirty Kanza 200 which comes up following this event on June 1st, 2013.
In fact, the event promoters are from DK 200's home town of Emporia, Kansas and now run a local bike shop called District Bicycles, located in Stillwater, near to where this event will launch.
Online registration is open now and will close February 23rd. No same day registrations, so get over to the site and check out the details to enter this new, self supported 100-ish miler.

The Land Run 100 should be a good one. Bobby Wintle, of District Bicycles in Stillwater called me up the other day. He's so excited and passionate about putting on this event. You won't want to miss this one!!!
