Farmhouse Classic Registration

File image...
The Farmhouse Classic, which will take place on Saturday, July 21st, 2012 in Northwestern Missouri, has some registration details posted on its new registration page which you can find right here.

Cost to register will be $10.00 and there will be a catered meal after the event. (Riders are asked to bring their own favorite post ride beverages.)

The course is in flux yet, but we were told to expect something in the 80 to high 90's for mileage. See event details on the site here.

The Ogre: New 2013 Event

It is time to start thinking about 2013 here on Gravel Grinder News already. The first announcement for an event next year is a new one that sounds like it should be quite an epic event.

Bonk Hard Racing, an organization committed to putting on adventures for cyclists, orienteering folks, and paddlers for the past seven years, has cooked up this event to be held April 20th, 2013.

This event will take riders on a 150 mile course through some tough Ozark Hill country. By the way, the name of the event, "OGRE" actually means "Ozark Gravel Road Expedition", so this is a serious back road epic race.

For more details on registration, rules, and gear for this event, see the event site here.

Inspiration 100

The gravel hits just keep-a-comin'! Here we have a new event in west-central Minnesota called the "Inspiration 100". The organizers say the scenery should be quite good on this self supported loop, and it goes by a place called "Inspiration Peak", thus the name.

This event is going to take place September 8th, entry is free, just send a post card. For more details, see the site here.
